Led by Patricia Mtungila, Purple Innovation started managing this Project with funding from United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through World Connect in January 2020 to the support of 70 women with disabilities from the community organization Mzuzu Disability Organization to gain economic and social transformation through entrepreneurship training. The Programme is aimed at providing capital for the women of Mzuzu Disability in their carpet-making, knitting and sewing. The programme is also rehabilitating a center for the women to be utilized as a workspace and office for producing the carpets. https://www.worldconnectus.org/projects/tiwale-creative-women-and-girls-centre]
