Open Contracting For Women Training

With support from CISANET, Purple Innovation trained 40 women entrepreneurs in contracting and bidding to enhance women-led enterprises in Northern Malawi. The impact includes an increase in the participation of women from Northern Malawi in public procurement by about 30 %. In addition, more women have now registered their businesses including a women’s agriculture cooperative. Through a radio panel discussion organized by Purple Innovation, the Programme also reached over 1,000 people with awareness messages on open contracting and transparency in bidding across Malawi.
